STEAMPunks campers not only learn important STEM skills they can develop for life, such as critical thinking and collaboration, but they also get to learn through creative play!
 
This year we are running our camps at Villa Rica Elementary. In addition to STEAM activities and exercising their minds, students will also get a balance of outside play with STEM activities that combine nature and learning. Sign up for camps running in June-July! STEAMPunks Camp K-8th Grade

Morning session: Become a Social Media Sensation! Podcasting, Film, Animation, and Green Screen. While making awesome content students will also learn about internet safety and digital footprints. Be internet awesome!

Afternoon session:  Ready Learner One: Augmented Reality Laser Tag, Capture the Flag, and Pokemon Go style AR creation.We will be using our devices to interact with our physical worlds, and create our own augmented reality content!

Morning Session: 

Bloxels Star Wars Game Design Camp

Come get your galactic gaming on by designing your very own pixel art galactic game using the Bloxels platform. 

Afternoon Session:

The Outdoor Galactic Jedi Maker Lab

Students will work on a different project each day of the week. Rockets, volcanoes, kyber crystals, film trailers, Jaba the Hutt wormeries and light sabers are all possibilities. There is something for everyone, whether you tread on the dark side, or light side of the force.


 

Virtual Reality and Coding Camp

 

Morning Session: 

Virtual Reality Art Museum.

Combine Virtual Reality and Coding to create a virtual walk through of a local museum. Field trip to the museum included, so students can learn about art and capture photos. 

Afternoon Session: Intro to Robotics and Coding.

Using Dash and Dot, Code.org, and Scratch, students will explore coding in various applications.
